Privacy Policy - TetroTumble
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Summary: TetroTumble is a free, ad-supported game. It creates an anonymous account so your coins and leaderboard rank work — we never ask who you are. Optional rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob, anonymous gameplay statistics go to Aptabase, and you can permanently delete your account and all its data from inside the app at any time.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
TetroTumble collects as little as possible. Playing requires no sign-up, no email, and no name. The one online feature — the global leaderboard — runs on an anonymous account with a player name you choose. Everything below explains plainly what is stored, where, and how to erase it.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No real name, email address, or phone number (unless you email us)
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, or files
- No microphone or camera access
- No tracking without your explicit permission — cross-app tracking for advertising happens only if you allow it through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, and declining changes nothing about the game
3. Data Stored in Your Anonymous Account
When you first launch the game, an anonymous account (a random ID) is created with Supabase, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). It stores:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Coins, boosts, unlocked portraits | Your progress and purchases with in-game currency |
| Match results (win/loss, turns, theme) | Powers the global leaderboard rankings |
| Your public player name | Shown to other players on the leaderboard |
Optional — Sign in with Apple: if you link your Apple ID (Settings), we store the reference Apple provides so your progress can be restored on a new phone. We never see your password, and if you use “Hide My Email” we never see your real email either.
On your device only: sound/difficulty settings, local pass-and-play statistics, and tutorial progress never leave your phone.
4. Permissions We Request
TetroTumble requests one optional permission — no location, no microphone, no camera.
Tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency — optional)
On first launch, Apple’s standard prompt asks whether Google may use your device’s advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. If you decline, rewarded ads and their coin rewards work exactly the same — the ads are simply less relevant.
5. How Your Data Flows
[Your moves] → [The game on your device] → settings & local stats stay here
│
├──→ [Supabase, EU] anonymous account: coins, matches, player name
├──→ [Google AdMob] optional rewarded-ad requests (section 6)
└──→ [Aptabase, EU] anonymous gameplay events (section 6)
6. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (advertising)
TetroTumble offers an optional rewarded video (“watch an ad to double your coins”) through Google AdMob. You choose whether to watch — the game never forces an ad on you. To serve and measure ads, Google may process device information (device model, IP address, and advertising identifiers where you permitted it) under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses ad data. Where required by law, a consent form is shown before any ads load.
Aptabase (analytics)
We count anonymous events like “a match was played” or “the tutorial was finished” with Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service (EU-hosted). Events carry no advertising identifiers and are not tied to your account.
Sentry (crash reporting)
If the game hits a technical error, a crash report (the error details, device model, OS and app version) is sent to Sentry on EU servers so we can fix it. Reports are not tied to your account or used for advertising.
Supabase (game backend)
See section 3. Supabase acts as our processor; data lives in the EU.
7. Your Leaderboard Name (User Content)
The player name you choose is visible to everyone on the global leaderboard. Names are filtered automatically on our servers; you can report an offensive name via the ⚑ link at the bottom of the in-app leaderboard or by emailing us, and we can rename any account.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Settings → DELETE ACCOUNT permanently erases your account, coins, boosts, match history and leaderboard entries from our servers — immediately, with no grace period and no backups to restore from. Prefer email? Write us from any address and include your player name.
9. iCloud and Backups
Your progress lives in your anonymous server account, not in device backups. Local settings may be included in your normal iPhone backup like any app’s settings.
10. Children’s Privacy
TetroTumble is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The account it creates is anonymous.
11. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Server data is protected with row-level security — one account can never read or modify another account’s data — and coins/rewards are granted exclusively by server-side functions.
12. Your Rights
Under GDPR and similar laws you can access, correct, export, or erase your data. Deletion is built into the app (section 8); for anything else, email us and include your player name so we can find the anonymous account.
13. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above, and the copy of this policy inside the app is updated with each release.
